I woke up early for a Sunday today because my sister and brother-in-law (BIL) had another of their spontaneous trip.
My and my parents prepared really quickly and were on the road in no time! I was just soo happy with this surprise trip because all along I thought me and my family wouldn't be able to go out this weekend since the original plan was for my sister and BIL to only go out of town so I was more than happy to wake up early when my parents said we'd go along. I love out of town trips with my family! My dad even wants to bring along our cats since my sister always brought along their dog. Haha!
Even though there were heavy rains even before we reached the place that didn't stop our spirit! We still had a sumptuous lunch over at Mahogany Market in Tagaytay! Try Amy’s when you’re there. Not only Tagaytay’s Bulalo was great, all of the stuff we ordered too like Pinaputok na Tulingan, Fried small Tawilis and Papaitan. The baby bananas and pineapples were even free!! Also their service was great! Who could’ve thought market place could be such a fulfilling dining place! And then we were off to my sister’s meeting. But the view that resulted from the rain of Taal Volcano was enough to make us stop and take some pictures! When we reached my sister’s appointment place, we didn’t even left the car. Haha, we just stayed inside, rested and waited for my sister. Then my dad and BIL stopped over for the local bakery, at first we were in doubt of the breads they were selling. But they got back with plastic bag full of different kinds of breads all for P60 (P5 each!) I’m happy to know when my dad told us that the seller was happy to offer almost everything and we were able to help the bakery somehow. J
I was just more then glad that I get to spend this time with my family again since I thought the day before we weren’t able to see each other on Sunday and was trying hard to go spend the night at my sister’s but my parents were already tired for the day and I was also with my blockmates. This was another spontaneous thing, they texted me and good timing I wasn’t doing anything for the rest of day. It was awhile since I’ve been out with these girls. It was also a great time spending it with them on a relaxed way. We just ate heavy snack and spent the rest of the night sharing stories for more or less 4 hours(!!!) at Starbuck’s! Lots of stories to share, lots of topic to talk about, stimulating arguments and plainly lots of laughter!
Earlier that day, I went to the general assembly of the photo club I joined form the office. I’m glad I did even if I had to go alone because there were lots of things I learned and also just talking about something that interests me was satisfying. I’m happy that I get to learn some things about one of my passion even if I will not be able to apply most of them, at least I’m familiar. It’s just also great to know that I was with the people who share the same passion with me. And I know they’re not discriminating point and shoot users but I know someday… I will get a DSLR, someday when I have more than enough. Haha.
Okay, I haven't blogged for awhile and I noticed I often blogged about my weekends. I figured that my weekends are either full-packed or nothing at all. Haha. Anyway, last weekend was full. Friday was spent with colleagues. I'm glad that I have projectmates I can go out with now. You know, the good feeling that you can talk about anything about the project and the people without being conscious since you're away from the office and practically just relaxing with friends. We just had dinner and didn't have to go home too late which was good since I planned to leave the next day. Saturday, I planned to watch the 2009 Philippines National Figure Skating Challenge with my parents. We got there around 4:30pm and it looked like the Hockey Challenge just finished. And I thought the Nationals went first. Good thing my mom saw from the ad that it's still at 6pm. And I was glad that I watched it up to the last skater! It was fun watching the skaters in higher levels even if it finished at 11pm(!!!) since the winner might have the chance to compete for the Olympics 2010! It's a good experience to see double jumps and bielmann spins live!
Then on Sunday, me and my highschool friends cooked up a little photoshoot and ended up making our school the venue I felt a bit awkward since they made me a model! Haha. But it turned out a fun time with friends. I hope to do that again!
After that me and my parents watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the new Eastwood Mall! The dinner at my sister and BIL's after the movie! I'm not quite sure my parents liked it much but I loved loved it! I love the cinematography! And all those magical details! I wish all HP movies were made magical like that. I also loved those little parts with funny comments. I really want to watch it again!
